Church Staff

Steve Wilkins holds a Bachelor of Science degree (in Pre-Law) from the University of Alabama and a Masters of Divinity from the Reformed Theological Seminary of Jackson, Mississippi. He was ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in 1976. He served as the pastor of Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church of Monroe, Louisiana from 1989 to 2018. On April 15, 2018, Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church began worshipping in a new location in West Monroe, LA. and changed its name to Church of the Redeemer.
Pastor Wilkins is the author of Face to Face: Meditations on Friendship & Hospitality and several other books.

Zach Parker joined the staff in the spring of 2019 when he took on overflow church administrative duties as an assistant office manager as well as media production work, including writing and producing the Redeemer Talk podcast. Zach serves as managing editor at Athanasius Press, the church's publishing ministry, and recently was ordained and installed as Assistant Pastor under Pastor Steve Wilkins. He is the editor of the Parish Line Press literary journal and also teaches at Geneva Academy, a classical Christian school in West Monroe.

Jarrod Richey has been on staff since 2005. He began working at Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church in 2005 in Media, Communications, and Church Choral Music. He now oversees music, choir and media for Church of the Redeemer. He serves as choir and music director for the church as well as oversees the church's hymnal and music projects. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Music from Louisiana Tech University and Master of Music from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is the author of BACH to the FUTURE: Fostering Music Literacy Today and more recently the general editor and contributing author for Raise the Song: A Classical Christian Guide to Music Education published by the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) in 2019. Joshua Hurd recently moved to West Monroe, Louisiana to become a pastoral intern at Church of the Redeemer. He, his wife, and their children moved here from a sister church in North Carolina. 

Mrs. Peacock is the full-time secretary and office manager for Church of the Redeemer and is the first voice and first face you will likely come in contact with upon contacting the church. She is the mother to four grown children and numerous grandchildren.

Braden officially joined the staff in a part-time capacity as Audio/Video Producition Supervisor overseeing the growing media and technical opportunities at Church of the Redeemer Church in West Monroe, LA. Braden and his wife Eryn have three sons.
